National networks of PLHIV are key members of Civil Society platforms that conduct evidence-based advocacy following from the results of research tools.
Civil Society platforms play significant role in facilitating further partnerships and capacity building of national PLHIV networks in terms of skills, resources and political space to sustain the impact of the programme. The networks of PLHIV are paying special attention to creating partnerships at country level; resource mobilization for sustaining the work after completion of the programme and coordinating effective advocacy plans and engagement with governments.
Campaigning, advocacy and lobbying skills transfer and knowledge building workshops are conducted, once the research is completed, to help identify key messages from the tool results and these then form the basis of an evidence-based advocacy plan.
