Combating Gender Based Violence and HIV

"Combating Gender Based Violence (GBV) and the spread of HIV" was the theme of the Eastern Cape 'Ubuntu Bethu' Campaign Platform's provincial conference attended by over 60 delegates in East London, Eastern Cape in South Africa.

Eastern Cape 'Ubuntu Bethu' is the HIV Leadership through Accountability Programme's campaigning platform where CSO, including networks of people with HIV and Government officials meet to share ideas, expertise, knowledge, support each other and plan towards Universal Access. 

This was work in progress where people were in a commission discussing the reality, challenges and recommendations to be taken forward by the campaigning platform in terms of addressing the aspects of  partnerships, networking, leadership and governance. Throughout the conference delegates showed dedication and recommitted to take the struggle of HIV and GBV forward. The theme of the conference was ‘Combating GBV and spread of HIV’ .
